Notes: Image acquisition with
TSX Pro using
MaxPilote automation software.
Processing: Image calibration, & align in Maxim DL Pro. Levels, curves, cosmetic adjustments and crop/resize in Photoshop. Color mapped to the SHO Hubble palette in PS and refined using Bob Franke's
selective color tool steps.
Calibrated w/20 Darks, 100 Bias, 50 Flats of each filter using a flat panel.
CCD temperature was -25C. Image was taken from my backyard
Observatory.

Sadr region, or
IC 1318, is the diffuse
emission nebula surrounding
Sadr or
Gamma Cygni. Sadr lies in the center of Cygnus's cross. The
Sadr region is one of the surrounding
nebulous regions; others include the Butterfly Nebula and the
Crescent Nebula. It contains many
dark nebulae in addition to the emission
diffuse nebulae.
Sadr itself has approximately a magnitude of 2.2. The nebulous regions around the region are also fairly bright.
